Pinellas Village: H.E.L.P. Pinellas Village "provides motivated single-parent families the opportunity to achieve economic and emotional self-sufficiency through on-site and community based resources and safe, affordable housing."
Lighthouse has partnered with Pinellas Village to provide the financial education instruction of the economic self-sufficiency component. Our involvement includes providing the personnel and resources to instruct a 24-month course designed to help the residents develop the money management and life skills that will allow them to achieve their goal of living without being dependent on public assistance.
Our partnership with Pinellas Village has been very successful and the attendance in the seminars has steadily increased. The most rewarding part of our involvement comes when a resident who has attended the presentations applies the principles they have learned and is able to become self-sufficient.
