Center of Hope: Computer Training & Financial Management Lighthouse works closely with Sophie Sampson Center of Hope operated by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul South Pinellas. Center of Hope is a transitional housing facility for working homeless and low-income individuals. Its mission is to promote individual self-improvement and provide opportunities for both independent living and reintegration back into mainstream and community life.
Lighthouse's involvement focuses on helping Center of Hope clients develop basic computer and money management skills. Lighthouse donated many of the resources used to create an onsite computer lab and provides basic computer instruction for clients on a weekly basis. Lighthouse also worked closely with the Center of Hope Program Director to create a Personal Money Management Certification Program for clients.
