Largo, FL - (Tuesday, February 12, 2008) – Lighthouse Credit Foundation is partnering with the New Jersey Coalition for Financial Education (NJCFE) to promote the New Jersey Saves Week Events. This is part of America Saves Week which is a week-long campaign to promote savings for future financial goals, particularly by low and moderate income U.S. households. It will run from February 24 to March 2, 2008 under the leadership of the Consumer Federation of America.
New Jersey Saves Week (NJSW) is being organized by the NJCFE. It will include events designed to promote savings, including financial programs for consumers conducted by NJCE member organizations and promotion of the direct deposit tax refunds.
The objectives of New Jersey Saves Week are to:
Create an awareness in NJ of personal finance topics, especially the need for regular savings
Encourage New Jersey residents to enroll as American Savers (www.AmericaSaves.org) and save money
Increase visibility for the NJ Coalition for Financial Education and its member organizations
The New Jersey Saves website (http://www.njsaves.org) has been established for ongoing savings promotion in NJ. Please let your family members know about these events.
