Housing Counseling
S.A.F.E. Harbor
Lighthouse Credit Foundation provides FREE one-on-one credit counseling and education for senior citizens through a program called S.A.F.E. Harbor, Senior Assistance & Financial Education. The emphasis is on assisting seniors with managing their medical bills, installment & revolving debt, mortgage debt and utility payments. The program is staffed by certified credit counselors and offers a variety of services. Some of the services include:
Prescription Benefits Analysis Review
Death of a Spouse Review
Referral Assistance with other non-profit organizations
Again, these services are provided for FREE and are designed to help seniors who are having difficulty understanding or paying their bills.
Seniors who are experiencing difficulties are encouraged to contact a certified credit counselor in S.A.F.E. Harbor for a free, no obligation consultation regarding their financial situation and concerns. The primary focus of these discussions is to relieve the stress and frustration that is often associated with the bill paying process by identifying ways to improve the situation. Our certified credit counselors are available to assist and answer questions Monday – Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm at (800) 208-0362 or (727) 450-2940.
