INTERNATIONAL HOLIDAY CELEBRATION RAISES CULTURAL AWARENESS FOR TEENS OF PINELLAS PARK BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS
Pinellas Park, Fla.- (December 31, 2002)-
Who: Lighthouse Credit Foundation (LCF) and 61C Teen Center at the Pinellas Park Boys and Girls Club
What: A colorful holiday party celebrating the customs, traditions and music of Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and African Kwanzaa. The party was researched and planned by employees of Lighthouse Credit Foundation and the teens of the 61C Teen Center as part of the 'adoption' of Boys and Girls Club Teens in addition to an effort to raise awareness of cultural diversity
During the program the teenagers will give a presentation on the importance of the food, music, and customs of each religion and/or culture represented. There will also be a variety of ethnic food dishes and desserts on display - and later enjoyed!
When: Wednesday, December 18, 2002, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m
