LIGHTHOUSE CREDIT FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES FINANCIAL LITERACY MONTH ACTIVITIES
LARGO, Fla.- (March 28, 2005)-
In celebration of April's designation as Financial Literacy Month, Lighthouse Credit Foundation will provide a series of free seminars based on key financial topics benefiting consumers at every stage in life. The seminars will start April 2 and continue to May 7, 2005.
The seminars are open to the public and will consist of an hour and a half long presentation stating at 11 a.m. and again at 2 p.m. Topics will include Getting Organized, Credit Scores, Housing and Identity theft. The Foundation will offer an additional full-day seminar to teach parents how to educate children on financial matters while simultaneously leading their children in a series of activities that will help expose them to practice money skills.
Participants will receive a free copy of their credit report with their credit score included. In addition, free counseling will be provided to those who would like assistance in interpreting their reports and suggestions on how to improve their credit. Refreshments will be provided and there will be opportunities to win door prizes.

As part of the Financial Literacy campaign, Lighthouse Credit Foundation will be attending local elementary schools and preschools to perform a skit geared toward teaching younger children about money. The Schedule of events is as follows:
- April 2, 11am and 2pm: Getting Organized
- April 9, 11am and 2pm: Credit Scores
- April 23, 11am and 2pm: Family Financial Literacy
- April 26, 11am and 2pm: Teach Children to Save Day Skits (select Elementary and Preschools)
- April 30, 11am and 2pm: Housing
- May 7, 11am and 2pm: Identity Theft
