LIGHTHOUSE CREDIT FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES COOKBOOK TO BENEFIT LIGHTHOUSE CHARITY
LARGO, Fla. - (July 24, 2002)- In honor of National Lighthouse Day on August 7, 2002, Lighthouse Credit Foundation (LCF) will host an employee based fund-raiser to bring awareness to efforts on behalf of its symbolic namesake. The Florida Lighthouse Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of Florida's historic lighthouses and LCF will create a fundraising cookbook with proceeds directly benefiting the Lighthouse charity.
The cookbook will be authored by Lighthouse Credit Foundation employees and will include recipes from employee's signature dishes. Tampa renowned Chef Marty Blitz from Mise En Place has also contributed a special recipe to be featured in the cookbook. Recipes will cover all the savory details necessary to create delectable appetizers, drinks, entrees and desserts. The book will then be sold to LCF employees and the public, too. All profits raised will be donated to the Florida Lighthouse Association with the cost of production being donated by Lighthouse Credit Foundation.
Lighthouse Credit Foundation works within the community and strives to be a resource for those in need. The Foundation works closely with several community outreach programs to offer assistance via the time and talents of its workforce, and by donating time and other resources to deserving organizations, such as the YMCA, Pinellas Education Foundation, Hillsborough Education Foundation, Big Boy Scouts of America, as well as others.
